Magic: Emrakul, the Exigent Doom foil lost $38.76, down 43.5% in a week

All six big drops this week came from sets released in the last four months. Four cards rose 10% or more, from sets as old as 2023 and as new as November 1.

Seluma, Light of Aysen, Mystery Booster Commander Edition: $52.68 on Oct 27, $21.71 on Nov 3.
Magic: The Gathering, cards that trade often, last 7 days 6 down, 4 upbig moves median −0.2%

From October 27 to November 3, 1,167 of the 2,146 Magic: The Gathering cards worth $20 or more that trade often got cheaper, and 938 got more expensive. That is 54% down and 44% up, with a median change of −0.2%. Ten cards moved 10% or more: six fell and four rose.

The largest move in dollars belongs to Emrakul, the Exigent Doom (Borderless), a foil from Reality Fracture.

Emrakul lost 43.5% in seven days

The Reality Fracture foil went from $89.14 to $50.38, a loss of $38.76. The set came out on October 2, so the card is barely a month old. On November 3 the cheapest copy for sale was $49.99, almost exactly the market price, so sellers are not asking much less than the new level.

Reality Fracture has a second card among the big drops: The Theorist, Jace Beleren (Borderless) (0363), a foil, slid from $90.08 to $64.42, down 28.5%.

Mystery Booster Commander Edition supplied three drops

Three of the six big drops come from Mystery Booster Commander Edition, released October 1. Seluma, Light of Aysen lost 58.8%, more than half its price, falling from $52.68 to $21.71.

All six big drops come from sets released in the last four months, and five of them from sets that are about a month old.

The four gains came from sets of every age

The other two are from newer sets. The Sol Ring (2783) foil from Secret Lair Drop Series, released November 1, rose 12.8% to $37.83. Ultron the Annihilator from Commander: Marvel Super Heroes, released June 26, gained 12.2%, to $22.51.
