About
A terminal, not a price checker.
Price checkers answer "what is this card worth". tcgrate answers "what is the market doing" — and only then, what the card is worth inside it.
Every trading card game is a small economy: thousands of cards, a few dozen sets, a stream of new printings, and a market that reprices all of it every day. Sites that cover this look at one game and one card at a time. We look at all of it as one market — 26 games, 3,105 sets, 429,112 priced cards — with a shared daily index so games can be compared on one scale.
What's here
- A market index and a per-game index, chain-linked daily since February 8, 2024.
- A heatmap where area is money and color is direction.
- Movers by day, week and month, and a feed of cards moving against their own game.
- Every set with its own index since release, every card with full price history and printings side by side.
- Where it's cheaper — TCGplayer against Cardmarket for the same card.
- Calls with a public scorecard.
Where the data comes from
Prices are TCGplayer market prices, published daily through tcgcsv, an open mirror of TCGplayer's catalog. Card images are served from TCGplayer's CDN and belong to the games' publishers. Cardmarket prices come from open, game-specific APIs. Nothing here is scraped from sold listings, and nothing is estimated from screenshots.
Who
Built by Denis Lepekhin, who builds data products for niche markets. tcgrate is independent: not affiliated with TCGplayer, Cardmarket or any publisher. Links to TCGplayer may be affiliate links; that never changes which price is shown.
